Eligibility & Prerequisites
Can RNs, NPs, PAs, MDs, and Dentists legally inject in the USA after this course?
Yes. The AACM online certification provides the formal didactic knowledge, facial anatomy, injection techniques, and complication protocols required by medical boards and malpractice insurers across the United States.
Scope of practice guidelines by medical licensure:
- Nurse Practitioners (NPs) & Physician Assistants (PAs): In full-practice states, NPs inject independently. In collaborative states, NPs and PAs inject under approved supervisory protocols.
- Registered Nurses (RNs): Can administer Botox and dermal fillers under the standing orders or clinical supervision of a licensed Medical Director (MD, DO, or NP depending on state law).
- Physicians (MD/DO) & Dentists (DDS/DMD): Possess independent practice authority within aesthetic medicine.
- Certification & CME: Graduates receive 8.5 accredited CME credits and an official American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine® board certification.

AACM™ does not accept non-licensed individuals. Cosmetic injection training requires medical credentials.
